UK Team Building Trip

Written by Steve Elles | Marketing & Brand Manager | August 2024

Our recent UK Team-Building Trip To Marbella The Hard Rock Hotel was an incredible experience filled with fun, learning, and bonding. Organised to strengthen our team dynamics and provide a refreshing break from our daily routines during World Mental Health Month.
Planning and preparation:

Thanks to the hard work of our organising team, everything from accommodation to activities was meticulously planned. Our main objectives were to enhance collaboration and create lasting memories.

Travel and Arrival

Our journey began with an early morning departure from Leeds Bradford Airport. Impressively, only one person had to be woken up with a phone call asking ‘Where are you’ whilst the rest of the group were already bags in hand at the airport! (I will not name names...)

Day 1:

We began by taking some time to unwind and discover the surroundings. Later in the evening, we prepared for our team dinner at El Gaucho in Puerto Banús. The remainder of the night was spent exploring the harbour and finding the best ice-cream café!

Day 2:

We took part in a team-building canyoning activity (not canoeing like some people thought) that challenged us all and fostered trust among team members. We then enjoyed the afternoon relaxing at the beach and pool. In the evening, we enjoyed a delightful tapas dinner by the seafront and later went on to watch the Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk boxing match.

Day 3:

We all took a water taxi over to Marbella old town and spent the day exploring and eating! We then made our way back to the airport, we lost track of time a little and nearly missed the coach back to the airport due to some people getting too excited with handbag shopping!

Our time in Marbella has not only strengthened our bonds as a team but also reaffirmed our commitment to supporting each other both in and out of the workplace. We returned home energised and ready to tackle our upcoming projects with renewed enthusiasm and a stronger sense of unity.

Abstract Group really believe their biggest asset is their amazing staff, we can't wait for next years trip!
